Interestingly, my alma mater appears to have changed the title of what was formerly its Women's Studies major...it is now Gender and Sexuality. Still looks to be highly cross-curricular, and very rooted in liberal arts.
Sorry to just now be catching up on the thread...while others were adding pages, I was out getting Thai food with my boyfriend. We discussed majoring in English. He asked me questions, just so there's no confusion about that.
The right to kill is one area where I think feminists have gone out of control. I bet many early feminists would be aghast at the whole thing.
Doesn't matter. We have no right to dictate that a human plays host.

Also, for instance, I'm sure many self-described feminists would like to greatly extend the scope of what is defined as 'rape' and increase the penalties greatly.
Don't be ridiculous. Please, try to keep this discussion somewhat rational.
The point I was making is that the "Keep Your Laws Off My Body" sticker was on cars belonging to women who men would NOT impregnate in the first place.
I figure those stickers are meant for legislators and their supporters.
As things went, she did not complete her degree at that time. Later, after our kids were born, she went back to school and got her degree -- in elementary education.

I haven't seen such stickers, but I don't like the law's hands on my body, either. That's probably the main reason a country claiming to be developed is in the Dark Ages as far as birth control and abortion goes, which results in plenty of children either taken care of poorly or not at all. There's no logical reason to force people to create and keep unhappy children other than having more slaves to pay you taxes.
No, but I've taken more than my share of it. More As than Bs. No one is giving me academic credit or paying for an official study, so there's no point in anything beyond the anecdotal.
Good. So you won't mind that I voted "yes." Now it's not even anecdotal. It's useless.

Wrong! I'm proof, as I know several men who would have loved nothing more. Likewise, plenty of my female friends are not only married to, but coparents with ZOMG, men. The difference between those men and you is that those men are aware of reality and take women as individuals, instead of living their lives according to the intellectual laziness of stereotyping.

Married 17 years this August ...
You sound like a very lucky, and intelligent, man
