Lets say if a man were to cry during titanic, benjamin button, or forrest gump. Would this make him look weak? Would you like it? Would you be aroused by it sexually or is it more of a thats cute type thing?
What kind of crying? Weeping, wailing, sobbing, the ugly cry, or just sniffling, choking, blubbering?
some more movies never to watch with other people around
Armageddon- when bruce willis tells steven tyler's daughter that he's sacrificing himself to save the earth and they have their last goodbye's...
Terminator 2- when the terminator lowers himself into that batch of melted metal and says his goodbye's to johnny connor.. and he gives the thumbs up as he melts himself.
Lion king- when scar betrays mufasa and throws him into the stampede of wildebeests.. and simba finds him dying.
Gladiator- when maximus dies in the end.
dances with wolves- when that native american is yelling gibberish at the end because he loves kevin costner.
I've shed a few tears in some movies. I can't remember all of them though.
But I do remember watching a lot of the movies that have been mentioned here, but I can't recall crying lol.
But movies like Dear John? That movie in particular, felt like nothing but a bunch of awkward moments. Like I felt like I should have had a tear in a part or 2, but on the whole I kept asking myself how awkward that movie felt to me.

I think teary eyed or a few drops of tears and holding back is fine if the movie calls for it, but if the guy is balling his head off than that's a little weird in my book.
Having emotions is great and showing them is even greater, but balling hard is a little weak....but prob not a deal breaker for most women in relationships.
I used to be kind of sexist about men's tears, except for births, deaths, graduations, that kind of thing. But now I would be very okay if I noticed my man shed a few tears at an emotionally intense movie. A FEW, mind you. Not floodgates and sobbing.. That looks weak. I take it as a sign of trust if he is willing to cry in front of me in this setting.A good thing.
I mean, if your dog or your dad died or something, by all means...but not all this boo hooing over nothing. A movie?!
Teary-eyed...ok...
