Panama, Colombia, too. Argentina fluctuates, but still a deal overall, esp outside of Buenos Aires

another thing to consider, if you or your parents or even grandparents were from another country, you may qualify for favored immigration status, or even dual citizenship.

I'm not looking for Mardis Gras everyday since I don't drink drink every day but Local bars with a lot of flavor are a must. A bowling alley would be nice and not because I bowl, its just an expectation.

I just look at it as a representation of what type of ammenties I expect to be see around me. A Casino with shows would be desirable too. I may have to retire to an Indian Reservation!

It's kind of like people who, when they are planning on moving to a new city, want to make sure it has a vibrant arts scene with symphonies, museums, and ballets. Even thought they don't actually patronize symphonies, museums, and ballets.

LOL.... A casino and bowling alley do not fit in with my Shangrala image, but every one has their own specific vision. My Shangrala must have an ocean, coral reefs to dive, and a jungle! (I rule out desert islands with no fresh water source - no desalination plants!). But that's just me.

In your case, I think you should maybe look at some of the reservation areas in Northern Wisconsin... Lots of casinos, bowling alleys and supper clubs! Very affordable!

What's the point...? Don't you want amenities you actually use?

I want a beach shack. Jungle is optional.
