There are two adages in constant use to describe attraction: "Opposites Attract" and "Birds of a feather flock together." Which one do you think is more common OR which one works best in your experience? Take the poll and discuss.

I haven't really met a woman who is very much like me and to be honest, I really haven't met that many guys who are a lot like me. I'm a pretty hard person to label and I really don't fit a clique or stereotype. I'm a weirdo in other words.

So, I think if I were to find someone just like me, it'd be awesome. However, I'm not expecting it.

In the past, I've dated women who were closer to me in terms of interests and background and other women who had little in common with me but were better women.

So, matching character is very important too.

Other, since there's no option for 'both'.

I picked -other- It usually depends on age and where you are in life.

If someone who is my opposite could love me for who I am I think that'd make them the most noble person on this planet. --Not gonna happen.

I chose other.

I'd say its a little bit of both for me.

I work in the arts, yet I'm not too fond of dealing with women involved in my field. I'm not a fan of dealing with future Subaru owners.

Opposites attract when it comes to genders...for the most part and it probably usually stops there in that regard.

I promise you when I wake up later today and get out and about, I'm not looking to hook up with chain smoking, binge drinking, tramp-stamp sporting bar lizards who dropped out of high school and can't pay their rent.

Nomsayin'?

This. Different people can bring out different traits in your own personality. As long as you are happy with who you are when you're with a person then it can work either way.

I think opposites attract, especially superficially.

But I think the best matches are between those who are alike.

I see no more of one than the other. Both are just as common.
