I know two couples who met on a forum I moderate. Both couples are married, and one has a child.
I met my husband online, in a chat room. Our sixth anniversary is in January.
It's amazing how many people are meeting their SOs online. Gives me hope...I met my current boyfriend in a, well, unconventional way as well...we will be one year in December!! Congrats on your 6th!!
Montana is supposed to fly to Boston this week (the 28th) to meet June for the first time in person! They have been burning up the phone lines (and the internet for the past couple of months or so.) It is kinda ironic. They are both atheists and met on the religion forum. They are both lovely people.

I met my SO online and have been together four years. We didn't meet on CD but on Yahoo. It's actually a funny story...I saw him on another singles site and wrote to him, he never replied. That is not what usually happens when a female writes to a male on those sites, so I was a little surprised. About a week later my grilfriend said, why don't you try Yahoo and I really didn't want to because one site was enough.
One day I said what the heck, I'll at least take a look on Yahoo. At the time they had this spinning wheel, kind of like a slot machine that spins and then stops on different people that are members. The first minute I went to the site the wheel stopped spinning and it was him again! I couldn't believe it, so I thought that dirty dog I'm going to write to him again and say, what's up?! Again, no response. I thought jeez what's up with that? Why even bother being on here if you can't at least write back, no thanks.
So another week goes by, I check my mail and he wrote back. He had been away for the holidays, visiting relatives and didn't do the internet chats while away. We continued to write and talk on the phone for about two months before we met but we both knew it was meant to be. We hit it off so well, it was almost like I knew the first time I saw him & when I read what he had to say in his profile this was going to be the person for me!
