This isn't intended to be racist/incite prejudice. I'm not that hairy myself, but I'm wondering if many women are turned off my exceptionally hairy men - e.g. those with like a rug on their chest, back hair, very hair arms and legs, stomach.etc, basically everywhere. If your boyfriend/husband was that hairy would you prefer him to shave? To be honest even if I was gay, I don't think the 'bear' look would turn me on. Some ethnicities are clearly more hirsute than others.
For me it depends on the guy. A relationship I was in a long time ago; wouldn't say he was a "bear" but he definitely had hair going on. My husband does not and would probably look funny if he did. The guy from a long time ago might have looked funny if he had been less hairy. For me it all depends on the person but generally speaking, a lot of back hair is generally not appealing, to me anyway.

Definitely a turn off. Hair, yes. But I don't find men with a carpeted chest or back to be even remotely appealing. Not for me!
