On an somewhat related note, should I expect an ardenant feminist to pick up the tab?

Back on topic now. if I'm so broke that I'd have to ask my date to pay for her dinner/drinks, I never would have gone on the date to begin with.

I had A glass of cabernet sauvignon...he had some over priced scotch... 3 of them... why should I go half if HE asked me out...not to mention that it is Monday... :S when will I learn? Dry spells are better I think. /smh

For me it really depends on how things go. If I like her I'll pay; otherwise we split.

The real thing is always nice, but a good hot bath and a battery powered substitute will have to suffice for now.

So does that go even if you ask her out...and not to sound redundant...but have what is considerably more expensive then her? You expect her to pay half? Absurd I think... this is a first for me... LOL Actually at home telling my daughter over a glass of wine...am laughing at the night. Glad to be home!

I'm a jerk, but I'm not a dick. I pay my fair share.

The asker should be the payer. Since I'm always the asker, I'm always the payer. I like it that way.

Seriously women need to ask men out more. I started asking men out when I turned 20 because if men could ask me, why couldn't I ask them? Even though I am in a relationship now I still ask my lover out and I would ask men out as well if I weren't in a relationship. I'm the girl next door but I know what I want.
