Men and women are equal. There are many feminists out there who truly, truly believe that.
I think abuse is wrong from both sides, I just want it to be fair And equal.

And now you're blaming feminists for a hypothetical increase in murders of women? That's revolting.

Yes. Rights give you power and control. All the power and control that women didn't have before: they couldn't vote, they couldn't prevent pregnancies (they could even be raped and physically abused by their husbands), they couldn't own property in many places... They had no power or control over their own bodies, their present or their future. Their opinion didn't count.

How tragic it is that those hideous wackos asking for their rights had to come and ruin it.

(I'm using the past but too many countries in the world urgently need some feminism right now)

I think almost every human being with a half a brain, living in western society, thinks that both men and women should be treated as equals in todays world. However, not to recognize that there are vast differences between both genders, is a major misstep. It doesnt mean that one gender is inferior to the other, it simply means that there are gender roles we cannot and will not get away from, because that is how mother nature intended us to be from the very first days of humanity. Feminist movement has done some good early on, but it has also done major damage to male/female dynamics, in the last decades of its existance. Today, it pretty much consists of unattractive, bitter women whom most men wouldn't even shake a stick at, openly bashing men for their misfortunes.

Suffragists were first wave feminists.

and I thought you knew about feminism?

Goldman always made a point to distance herself from inherently corrupt systems.

I've already said that suffragists were feminists.

I agree, which is why French feminists (vive la différence), in the vein of Luce Irigaray are more my style.
