Doggie is doing okay. He wound up with a blockage due to a Dr. Scholls shoe insert (my sons). We knew it was missing, just never imagined it would be in Finn's intestines!!
They said the surgery went well though and he can come home tomorrow! He'll have the cone of shame as well, I'll have to post a pic of his sorry butt if he'll pose for me!
Jasper...I don't do relationships that well either. If my husband ever goes before me, I'll be sticking to cats too! As for the virgin conversation...I'd have done the same, only a few glasses of wine would have followed.

My guess is your viewpoints will change somewhat as you get of an age where grandchildren become ubiquitous all around you. Grandchildren are truly wonderful. Not that I don't agree with the thought that some parents are annoying as hell about them, they surely can be.
I'm trying to get my teaching license in NC. I had one in NYS but I never transferred it over when we moved (at that point I hadn't worked in a few years and it wasn't a necessity at the time).
It's proving to be quite the pain in the ass. You would think in this day and age I could go online and get copies of all this crap I need to prove I once had a teaching license. Everything needs a written request and takes FOREVER to get return communication.
Now, the scary part is I haven't taught in 13yrs in a public school, and all I need to get back into the workforce is my license restated and a new one issued for NC. All that requires is a little paper chasing and I can go get myself a job teaching 2nd grade. Scary!
