I'm tall and built like a linebacker, so you wouldn't be attracted to me anyway, multiple-times-banned-member.

Only when they are so tall that when you walk down the street holding hands it feels like mummy leading the way.

Part of my family has taller women, some around 6', some taller, so they're all taller than I, so I'm conditioned to not be intimidated by tall women.

Being 6'2, why would I be intimidated by a tall woman? If she's my height, cool, if not, that's fine too. I look at her heart & character. If she's got good sense about her, loves God and I could see us having a good life together, I wouldn't care about her height. If she was tall and curvy/thick & fit....well...no further comment necessary.

Are most guys here intimidated by women who are noticeably taller than them, or even slightly taller? Have you noticed this among men? I mean in a dating context, as in approaching/asking out/expressing interest in.

They might be for different reasons. They think that most women want a man who's taller than them, they're afraid she might even overpower them/seem like the 'man' in the relationship, too big to handle/they feel they can't 'dominate them', what others will think, they're just not used to them...

I'm not really scared of them, but I will sometimes I think taller women won't consider me since they'd probably go for a taller guy, and there are plenty of those going around. It doesn't seem that many women actually PREFER a guy who is shorter. Some may prefer someone around the same height, and actually most of the gals I've been attracted to have been around my height or slightly shorter, but seldom shorter.

Actually I'm noticing quite a lot of couples where the woman is shorter. Yesterday I saw a couple where the woman was a lot taller. Or maybe they still stick out a bit. Still seems pretty common here.
The problem is most women seem to prefer men who are tall. In the phrase "tall, dark and handsome", tall comes first. It means that if a woman is taller than a man, it probably increases his chances of getting shot down. I wouldn't say that men are intimidated by tall women though. Men just understand the odds and don't like to waste energy by going after a woman he thinks he doesn't have a decent shot with.

No, it means we have a typical order of adjectives in English

In many languages, adjectives denoting attributes usually occur in a specific order. Generally, the adjective order in English is:

Quantity or number
Quality or opinion
Size
Age
Shape
Color
Proper adjective (often nationality, other place of origin, or material)
Purpose or qualifier

In general, I would say yes

Personally, 2 of my last 4 semi-serious relationships were with women as tall or taller than me.
