And there are three CD posters who have become Facebook buddies. With one I have had a couple of lengthy phone conversations, giving her advice on marketing her civic organizations.
I have quite a few posters on my Facebook. At least a dozen at this point.
I have met one other poster back in 2007. I don't think she posts here anymore. Furthermore, when I left mt ex husband, there were quite a few that helped me. There are some really good people here, actually, but some of them I never see anymore.
I'm sure I've passed a few on the street or in the stores; some live, shop, and dine in my neighborhood, one or two might even live in my building, but, no face to face encounters so far. Have communicated with some to let each other know if we're attending the same event or will be at the same beach, things like that, but still manage to not actually meet. Those are of course not so uncommon since I'm talking of people that mostly post in the same geographical forum section of the boards. I'm sure eventually, I'll meet some of them face to face.

I have a few good friends on CD. One of whom stayed with me when he came to Australia for a couple of weeks. Another I met for the first time when I went to the States last year. I wanted to meet up with more, but it was a tour so I didn't have the time. He was actually the one who introduced me to this site/forum. Next time I go to the US I'll sure to let everybody know, to see if anyone is interested in meeting up!
I'm sure there's some I might have passed by and not known it from the NYC forum.
There's only one person I actually ever met from here, and he does post on this forum, but the meeting was intentional. We've been dating ever since.
