Really? That's dumb. A sexist person is a sexist person regardless if they are bodybuilder-huge or Olson-twins thin.
On the other hand, after reading some of the bodybuilding message boards (especially the flagship ones,) some of them are in serious need of a dictionary and thesaurus.
Actually, anecdotally, it seems like a lot of these bodybuilder and weightlifter types I have known and seen online do seem to fit the mold. Maybe they were angry insecure people to begin with, which was part of the reason driving them to weight lifting, then the increase in testosterone only made them worse...or something, just a thought.
I have dated some muscular men in the past. I am talking one was so muscular he had muscles I did not know existed. We are talking iron man competition looking. Ok. Also, he was not tall at all. I guess he was my height.
Another with a nice looking body, muscles present.
Both of them thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. The one who was draped in muscles told me that my friends should be jealous of me because I have him....
I don't think so.
Yep. My sweetie is overweight and I love every bit of him! Don't think I don't love rubbing that belly. =)
Mr muscles felt .... weird. His body was hard and chiseled and if felt.... fake. Then throw in his attitude about how good he was..... Forget that. Never again.
I couldn't be happier right where I am at...
I don't think people need to be 300 lbs, no. Somewhere in between the muscular and the overweight is fine....
VT be careful with the Bojangles or you will be 300 lbs!
Interesting responses here. Why go to extremes? It's not that tubbos are more appealing. And it's doesn't say that staying in shape is unappealing. It's about an extreme--body builders, not guys who go to the gym to stay in shape. There's a wide range in-between body builders (Arnie S.) and slobs. I don't think women really care at all if a guy goes to the gym, so long as he's HWP. And even then, so much depends on the guy, whether the couple's interests are a good match, etc.

I know a guy who got into body building.. one year later he had to get his colon removed and his gay porn website and video showed up online.
Now, I know what you're thinking.. and I don't know if the steroids caused his colon to burst or if it was the guy.
Powerlifting and lifting a lot is great. Bodybuilding, steroids and going to those competitions seem to attract the people with serious mental issues.
Well, the article does make sense in a vague sort of way. Not every physically fit person, including guys, wants to be physically fit for the sake of their health. And at times those other reasons can be misguided. The trouble is, recognizing such things is the first step in initiating a stereotype. A muscular man gets pigeonholed as a Neanderthal even when he is a gentle person. In fact, look at the first sentence in the article; According to a study conducted at the University of Westminster, stronger men make awful boyfriends. There's not even a qualifier, as though every muscular guy will make for a bad boyfriend. It makes me think that the article was written by a puny, frustrated guy who is still mad about not getting a date to the prom. The article needed to be less typecasting.
Here's a suggestion. Date someone you find interesting and attractive and let's stop all this silly nonsense about fat, skinny, tall, short, muscular, etc.
