After a couple of weeks thinking about that, I decided to give this online dating another chance. First impression I didnt expect much out of it but it was really disappointing the first couple guys who wrote me. How long should I keep my profile before giving up on this?? Any tips or comments are welcome here.
Sonia, where do you live? It is amazing how much demographics come into play when it comes to dating, online or otherwise. Phoenix AZ, for instance is an absolute playground for women. Match.com is around 60% men. POF is around 75% men. And the bars are likewise. If you make the look, and you certainly do, your choices here would be endless.
Are there really that many ****ty people on these sites? Maybe that's why I don't get responses; every girl's inbox is flooded with morons asking for easy sex.
Thanks for all the comments and tips. Im not taking it too seriously just for fun. I live in a small city so I just wanted to know what else is around here lol
I can relate to that because I also live in a small city. There's more variety of people to meet in large and medium-sized cities.

I live in alabama.I did the bar scene and clubs too. Most times I see always the same people there not many options here to go out lol
I agree with the others, just look at it as a way to meet new people as opposed to meeting Mr. Right, and you should do fine.
Not all of the responses will be winners, and not all of the dates will go well. But at least you'll have some interesting stories to tell your friends about!! The main thing is keep an open mind. I remember for a while I was having a hard time even finding logical matches and I had to widen my zip code range. (and I live in a major city no less).
It was just a little tongue-in-cheek; if you think about it that should INCREASE my likelihood of getting a response since I never send messages saying "ur hott wanna bang??"

I bet there's quite a few on that site who would respond to something like that and be down for it. The problem is that they'd probably be pretty ugly and/or trashy.
Its amusing how women think of online dating, like signing up and waiting for messages constitutes some kind of achievement.
