Valtrex does nothing to prevent transmission. There is not need to give it to someone who is not diagnosed. The ONLY thing Valtrex does is lessen the likelihood of an outbreak. There would be no need to give it to you.

Yes. But it is possible to NOT have outbreaks. And not develop both antibodies.

Because it would not do you any good. It is helpful for treating SYMPTOMS only. Sometimes they give it profelactically (too lazy to find correct spelling), but that is not the standard protocol.

The way he's carrying on about this the OP sounds like a teenager, not a grown man. He needs to educate himself instead of continuing to overreact.
