"Dressing like that, it would be unusual for a lady not be harassed. There can be perverts on the subway and it's hard to get rid of them. Please have self respect, ladies."
I have barely even touched the surface. Women have been subjugated for thousands of years. The fight for equality has casualties unfortunately. Men and women need time to fully comprehend and appreciate the new dynamics. Some men simply whine and whimper about being hard done by and they need to suck it up buttercup.

The writing Japanese are attempting to protect these women, but that doesn't change the lack of logic in your argument. See my argument above about Zimmerman. Should we have a shoot first ask questions later mentality? I see a man looking at me funny. He's dressed as rapist in my mind. Does that justify me shooting him? That's essentially what you're saying whether you understand it or not. But, as I mentioned earlier, that's the reality we live in. It's still nonsensical.

You haven't heard that Japanese society is extremely patriarchal, and somewhat misogynystic? You've gotta do better than quote the Japanese subway authority! And how does their warning explain why women dressed modestly get groped? You haven't addressed that yet. Your and their position are both irrational, and don't address the reality of the situation.
It's reason why women en masse need to have fire arm training and obtain licenses and pieces. At the very least to learn how to protect with other defense tools.
Exactly. I have a gun permit, and am pretty accurate with a range of guns. Taken kick boxing and ta kwan do, which primarily taught (through sparring) that men hit friggin' hard.... marine's even harder.... and if I have the option I'll run... I'm pretty speedy. /lol
That and I carry pepper spray on my key chain. Because I'm lazy, and that's easier than fighting OR running.
I'm sorry, I can't imagine what type of person considers wearing a cocktail dress as asking for it. I know I've said that... but they weren't even skanky dresses.
I wear spaghetti strap summer dresses to work with flats, and they have about the same amount of material overall.... what's shorts and a tank top? An invitation for a gang bang?
