I've enjoyed the posts so far. I think it is important to reflect, make changes or sometimes scrap it and start over. Life is full of unexpected turns but we still have much we can control. I am not where I expected to be 5 years ago. Life has changed drastically but the changes have brought me to a much more fulfilled and enjoyable place. I am still me, just a wiser, happier version. Here's to the next five years!

I have enjoyed them as well. I think it is healthy to stop and take the time to think about time gone by.
I know that five years ago, I don't think I was able to do that. I was stuck in my own hell on earth and living minute by minute.
Looking back I would see the death of my parents and I didn't even think I could look forward. I suppose it was a pretty dark and dismal place. Then one day there was just a click in me......
If not for that click, the opening in the clouds, I don't know where I would be.
I agree about those unexpected turns, and to me, I welcome them. They brought me to where I am today, and without them, I would not have made it to this destination....
OMG! Why would someone shoot at a 5yo child???? Well I wish you safety in your chosen profession...
No, a old vintage Colt Detective Special my Dad used to own when I was five. That was the first handgun I shot. Five years old...yes it's true a .38 Spl snubnose. He sold it when I was about 10. I found a '73 in mint condition a few years ago and bought it back on the spot. This one is going NOWHERE!!

Pretty much except I am far less trusting of others.
5 years ago I was one month out of an 8+ year relationship. Over six of those years we were married.
A few work related experiences also helped in my distrust of others.
This trend is very upsetting to me because I treat others so well. And that included my ex when we were together.
