You really picked the wrong girl! That is not normal in college. You picked a woman who was selling herself for tuition money and other goodies. If you think that's the norm, you're in seriously sad shape.

As a matter of fact, in my collage newspaper (a cal state school!) surrounding stripjoints paid for ads in the collage paper as they were looking to hire college girls to strip.
I also know that escorts services also look for new girls on college campuses and they do very well finding young girls to work for them.

It was my first time meeting somebody with that problem. I had no signs that she was a user being that she was so young and good looking. When you're young and good looking you can hide many problems from people. Unlike women though who take 10+ years to figure out that their mate is a looser, I walked away from the girl after a few MONTHS and later on found a better woman.

what tough relationships?? LOL. in order to work through something it has to be there in the first place. Maybe that's what you had available in your life, but can't say the same for me.
and as for the other stuff -- good for you I guess. You can decide to judge people off of your experiences or someone else's or whomever. Your choice. As for me, my thoughts and feelings aren't going to be dictated by other people just because they don't like or agree with what I have to say.
Right, so write off all American women, including all the ones who don't expect you to pay on a date. Including the ones who would love just a walk on the park or a day at the beach, or just coffee. It's not about the choices in women you're making, it's about American women, they're all money-grubbing, spoiled princesses. (not) How sad that you can't feel at home in your own culture, and you can't even see how you're getting in your own way.
My own culture? I am not even American. Sure, there are free dates but when the day comes where we go to a place or activity that requires money we all know who will be expected to pay. Why deny it? American women expecting/demanding men to pay for them are not necessarily money-grubbing like you say, they are simply American and are following custom/culture/tradition.
Yet, there are a few exceptions out there as well like Ulysses and Findly185 who really mean it when they say they want to pay AND DO SO right off the bat (not just “try”) regardless of who asked who, if it’s a committed relationship or not, if it’s a first date or not, and so on.

But be aware that D-E and the rest of us here aren't arguing about guys like you who might enjoy paying without expectations, other than a pleasant evening, and the hope for more of the same. It's the guys who post angrily about women who don't put out after they've spend a small fortune for dinner that are generating the flack, and who could blame the women for that? Well, I know from personal experience, and from that of friends, that college women do date broke guys. Some marry them. After they get the degree, they generally don't stay broke. That's the point of getting the degree. The current economy being an exception for some.

If a man doesnt have a job, income or car It means I get to dictate everything. I'm driving so I get to pick where and when were going out. Since I am paying I get to pick where we're going. I get to choose what movies we see and when I am going to spend my time to see you. I mean I cant complain about that type of control...
