You have no idea. Do you know how many girls work in stripclubs just to pay for their college tuition?!

As a matter of fact, in my collage newspaper (a cal state school!) surrounding stripjoints paid for ads in the collage paper as they were looking to hire college girls to strip.

I also know that escorts services also look for new girls on college campuses and they do very well finding young girls to work for them.

It was my first time meeting somebody with that problem. I had no signs that she was a user being that she was so young and good looking. When you're young and good looking you can hide many problems from people. Unlike women though who take 10+ years to figure out that their mate is a looser, I walked away from the girl after a few MONTHS and later on found a better woman.

Oh yes they do. I'm a man, and at one time I was BROKE so I know from EXPERIENCE.

It's all about perspective I guess. I've been dealt some sh*tty cards in my life but I dont assume anything about anyone (especially an entire race or gender of people) just because a few men in my life were abusive, or a few women in my life were master manipulators and catty as all get out. I just dispose of those negative people and keep the good ones.

I guess giving up on humanity would be easier then working through the tough relationships.

what tough relationships?? LOL. in order to work through something it has to be there in the first place. Maybe that's what you had available in your life, but can't say the same for me.

and as for the other stuff -- good for you I guess. You can decide to judge people off of your experiences or someone else's or whomever. Your choice. As for me, my thoughts and feelings aren't going to be dictated by other people just because they don't like or agree with what I have to say.

(not) How sad that you can't feel at home in your own culture, and you can't even see how you're getting in your own way.
My own culture? I am not even American. Sure, there are free dates but when the day comes where we go to a place or activity that requires money we all know who will be expected to pay. Why deny it? American women expecting/demanding men to pay for them are not necessarily money-grubbing like you say, they are simply American and are following custom/culture/tradition.

Yet, there are a few exceptions out there as well like Ulysses and Findly185 who really mean it when they say they want to pay AND DO SO right off the bat (not just “try”) regardless of who asked who, if it’s a committed relationship or not, if it’s a first date or not, and so on.

Read my subsequent response. To further clarify; how can they be hookers if they don't agree with the quid-pro-quo?
You’re right. A freeloader is just that. A woman that just offers company and sex but gets money, shelter, drugs, expenses paid for, etc. Well, you get the idea.

And this bizarre insistence that women are out to take men for a ride. Undoubtedly some are, but they'd be in the minority.

You and Doll Eyes are great, love ya both. Carry on if you must, lol ! I've got ring-side seats.

well pass the popcorn, lol. we don't agree on hardly anything.

Ruth4Truth,
Women don't care if a man is broke? Come on. A broke man is more likely to use coupons, not have a car, live with the parents, not have a job, not be able to pay for your expenses, etc. We all know how women react to men like this who dare themselves approach them.

Yeah, but who dates them? If you choose to date them (there's that "choice" thing coming up again), you should take the consequences without whining. It was your choice. Take responsibility for your choices.

Well, I know from personal experience, and from that of friends, that college women do date broke guys. Some marry them. After they get the degree, they generally don't stay broke. That's the point of getting the degree. The current economy being an exception for some.

Most women are stupid and dont capitalize on the pros of a broke man...

If a man doesnt have a job, income or car It means I get to dictate everything. I'm driving so I get to pick where and when were going out. Since I am paying I get to pick where we're going. I get to choose what movies we see and when I am going to spend my time to see you. I mean I cant complain about that type of control...

Those comments were made in the context of COLLEGE men! Please don't take my statements out of context. Read the posts, they say "in college..."
*sheesh*

When I met my SO he was broke (as was I). Shrug.

But if you'd rather demonize all women from an entire country because of your own failures with them, knock yourself out! It must be a fun, healthy way to go through life.
