I am one of those women, and there's quite a few of us out there, who loves a man with a shaven head. I think Jason Statham is one of the sexiest men alive and Bruce Willis is a perfect example of a man who got much, much hotter when he said goodbye to his thinning strands and embraced his baldness.

I have a couple of males in my life who are in their 40s, starting to lose their hair, and what hair they do have is going grey.

They will not acknowlege this. No matter what. They are petrified of baldness.

One, who is a friend, has been friend zoned permanently by his erronous belief that his hair looks good. It is thinning and whispy, although there seems to be a lot of it under ear level. The style is shoulder length blond, just parted in the middle and scraped back either side, similar to Kurt Cobain, although Cobain's hair had body and texture. This hair is broken and ragged, probably due to the repeated doses of a blonding solution, which sometimes make it appear a pretty shade of peach. I asked in a round about way why he didn't get a hair cut, and he told me it was because the ladies like to run their fingers through his hair. I curse whatever dodo told him this as he will never stop believing some hair is better than none thanks to her. Personally, I would be too scared to do this to his hair myself, in case I came away with a handful, as it appears so fragile and fine.

I have recently met and started dating a very fine fellow...whose only downfall so far that I can see, is his denial of his M shaped balding pattern. He is balding in such a way that he retains a narrow landing strip down the middle of his head, which of course he has grown as long as he can, parted in the middle (it would be like parting pubic hair), and used the threads to disguise his receded temples. The effect is like a flattened spider in the middle of his forehead, with its black and grey legs trailing across the naked expanses which still peek out from each side of the mohawk of broken hair. The back of his head is still full and cut short, but looks and feels grey and dusty.

These men will not shave their heads, not matter what. As a result, they end up looking slightly ridiculous. Both of these men are handsome, earn great money, and are great guys all around. They are fit, strong, good looking guys, but they could be gorgeous if they said goodbye to the do's! Why is it soooo hard for men to accept they're balding? It does indicate higher levels of testosterone, after all, so shouldn't they be proud to lose it?

Please. Guys. If you are losing your hair, ask your barber to give you a buzz cut or a number 2...you will find you get a LOT more female admirers! I promise!

Yeah I see a lot more adds loss for hair regrowth and all that. I honestly think the more they air these ads the more men will think that baldness is a problem. There's nothing wrong with wanting to regrow, but there's something wrong with treating baldness as a disease. Genetically I'm lucky in that I'll probably never go bald, but still, if I did I wouldn't think it was a huge deal.

Agreed. A short buzz cut is perfect for most balding men, especially if they don't have time or the inclination to shave it. It exudes confidence and is very sexy.

Or, they can just get a hair transplant and have a full head of hair. And yes, I've seen some extremely good hair transplants, but like anything, you get what you pay for.

Not sure what the issue is with some dudes. I guess since I started losing my hair at the age of 17/18 I never really got a chance to get overly attached to it...

Wore hats for awhile and finally decided, grow some facial hair, buzz the top... Yes, its a look that seems to work well. At least better than the "Trying to hold on to whatever I got left" look... :-)

Jason Statham is a decent actor, but he has been cast in some terrible movies. He is NOT the next Bruce Willis. He was great in Lock Stock though.

This will drive the OP crazy . . . I know a guy who is completely bald on top, yet he hangs on to this long pony tail of hair. Honestly, the pony tail is about to the middle of his back, really thin and scraggly. He took it down one time and spread it out and said, look, I have lots of hair. LMAO! It was so creepy.
