Yes its selfish too when married couples have kids they have a difficult time supporting. If you are going to have kids, plan it out and make sure you can live comfortably with them.

Life isnt black and white. It would be nice if all our plans panned out but I have learned the reality of life is you cant really count on your plans. At any time something outside our contol can change the course of our lives.
While I agree that's a stretch I would say it's more around 100k for the first 18 years. You should know they are very expensive and money a lot of people can't justify themselves losing.
So thats like 6K a year, $500 a month or $125 a week or $18/day. I guess that sounds about right averaged out over 18 yrs. from diapers to gas money.
