As a straight guy, a gal who smokes has to bring a *lot* of positives to the table to make up for it, pretty much no smoking in my car, or house, and it does limit how involved I want to get with them, because they are going to have health problems and age prematurely.

And, it depends on how heavily they smoke. Pack a day, you would really have to be HOT, and RICH, and maybe a few other desirable attributes, or no thanks. Gal who smokes a few a day, pack lasts her all week, not as big a deal. If you do a pack a day, or more, you are addicted, I think that's pretty much an accepted medical fact.

I would think this is a different deal for women, since guys may be cigar or pipe smokers, which in general are not as obnoxious as cigarettes. Most main line American cigarettes have a lot of "stuff" in them.

Speaking of which - do they still make Kools? The worst smelling ambient smoke I have ever smelled.

Pretty much that, as long as they do it outside.

There's supposedly some kind of link between a woman who smokes and an oral fixation. Maybe Freud's disciples can shed light on this.

Bleh. I used to smoke so I know how it is. As long as they were wanting/trying to quit.

Amazing how smokers that smoke and then lie about it to a potential s/o. Do they really think we can't taste the ashtray flavor when you kiss a non smoker? No amount of gum or brushing of the teeth ever completely cleans that taste away.
^^^ this!!!

I'm going to say no. If a smoker asked me out I would have to be really captivated by him and really attracted to him in order to say yes. I wouldn't want to kiss him, or sit/stand/walk with smoke blowing at me.

Just no smoking indoors. I don't totally mind the leftover smell of burnt cigars or burnt marijuana, but burnt cigarettes (except Nat Shermans and other top-quality tobacco) don't smell good to me.
I agree!
