So my suspicions of women in this area have been confirmed.
I joined a dating site about a month ago, just to see what's out there within' 100 miles of me. Keep in mind that I consider anything within' 20 miles short distance, so 100 miles is a lot of distance lol.
I guess that, compared to the amount of "hits" I've had(flirts, requests to chat etc), I'm blowing out most men on this forum. I've been hit on, complimented, lots of likes, from women around my age, but all of them live more than 40 miles away from me lol. And more than a few of those women were latina and Spaniards..Which is kind of odd, but hey I'll take anything.
I feel a little more confident, but I have to realize that they live relatively far, so I can't put tons of weight on it, and it's reassuring that if and when I can move away from this area I may actually have success.
I think the best way to describe my area would be to call it "urbanized"
10 years ago it was very rural, vacant area everywhere, just a podunk down.
Then we voted on whether or not to put casinos in, which promised to invest a large sum of money into the area to improve the town which includes new jobs and such, with a specific interest in improving the schools.
That promise has came true. The school has had a ton of improvements since I graduated, the town has undergone significant changes, roads have improved, and they've brought in more business.
The main problem, though, is this area has had a major problem with drugs and teen pregnancies. Drug use has gotten so terrible that 2 methadone clinics were built literally overnight, and both are within' a short drive of each other, and the main drugs used here are Heroine, Marijuana and pills.
Keep in mind that 3 casinos were brought in, and they're all within' like 30 miles of eachother.
No...he stays on his side and I stay on mine...unless it's "playtime"
I know some people like to be all intertwined when they sleep...I'm not one of them. Honestly, if his foot or arm even touches mine I'll nudge him over or give him a little kick to move...LOL
Sometimes we wind up falling asleep holding hands, but that's it.
I'm like this too. My ex was always all up in my business, usually leaving me hanging on to the edge of the bed. One night, I woke up and tried to roll over and ended up on the floor because he had moved me so close to the edge. He never woke up either.
That is a dealbreaker for me now. I will snuggle, but if a guy can't mind his side - he sleeps on the floor.
When we first started we had a super single waterbed, the equivalent of a twin bed, we then jumped to a king bed and wonder how the hell we ever slept on a bed that small.
I used to sleep over occasionally at his apartment when we were dating. Somehow we managed to cram ourselves into a twin bed. I guess we REALLY liked eachother back then...LOL

Speaking of which our bedroom furn was delivered yesterday, most of it anyway, as there was an issue with one of the nightstands.
Wooo hooo! Take pics! I love new furniture!!! Did you have fun playing and setting it all up? LOL
Every so often I get this wild hair up my rear to rearrange the whole house. Drives my husband crazy!

You would have needed a bottle of dramamine next to the bed for that. *someone is feeling wooooozy from all the motion in the ocean*

What's happening with all those job offers?
I didn't pursue them further. It was 3 grade levels within one school. I just can't justify a 2 hour round-trip commute. I need something a little more local. I have a position for January, just was wanting to get in sooner. I'm hopeful something else will pop up though

She said in the late 1800's my great great grandfather was the town doctor in Ellington, Missouri. Just a small little town (still small today, she was born there). One night they had just sat down to dinner, when they heard some noise out by the barns. So they went to see what was going on, and it turned out that a gang of outlaws were stealing their horses. They were held at gunpoint while the outlaws took what they wanted. They had just robbed a train, and they needed fresh horses to make their escape. My family found out later that the leader of that gang was Jesse James, and they were headed for their hide out in the meramec caverns here in Missouri.
Interesting story though, and she said she has a newspaper clipping that talks all about it.
That is pretty cool!
One of my husbands relatives is in the history books in school. That is kind of neat.
