........and I wouldn't like either one of them.

My parents bought this huge mansion on 3 acres to the river and redid every room in it. This was an older house and had these beautiful white cupboard doors with the leaded glass in the kitchen and a pantry. It was original to the house and were just beautiful.

My mom just had my brother at the time and I got stuck with him while she painted and fixed things in every room one at a time without any help. One day she came home and about had a heart attack. My father, not the most patient man when it comes to things, had contracted someone to come in and tear out the kitchen and it was formica cupboards, orange formica counter and this orange spanish looking linoleum on the floor. She was livid.

Oh, he didn't stop there, he was always trying to get business for his business by buying stuff from people he wanted to have as clients. One was this lebonese decorator and there was a formal living room when you walked in to the left. When we came home and saw the furniture in there I about puked. It looked like Afghanistan threw up in there.

When they got divorced she inherited that gawdy ass living room furniture and my one brother used to joke that if someone ever broke into her house to steal anything they'd take one look at that furniture and probably feel sorry for her and take things of their own truck and leave it with her.

I guess she couldn't sell it for cash huh? I'm not thinking too many people would have been interested in buying it.
