I right the light rail to class every day, I never seen anyone, lol.
Because I love horses (I own one myself and ride all the time), I volunteered at the local horse rescue non-profit facility where I board my horse. Most of the other volunteers are female, like myself (girls and horses...they just go so WELL together, lol). I found out that the guys that DO volunteer there are all typically there not of their own free will, but rather, are under court ordered community service sentences! lol Oops. I steer clear of them, haha. But, volunteering at a horse facility would be a great place for a guy to meet girls, because there is NOTHING but girls at the barn, for the most part, haha.
What light rail are you riding? Mine happens to be in LA so I guess we have more people, but everyday there's at least four other students waiting or on board you can talk to.
I think the most important thing to do is stay positive and be friendly with everybody. You really never know when someone knows someone that is just right for you.
Not that this has happened to me, but it makes sense that it could lol
