No hiding, but more than happy to dismiss you from my life when you choose to ignorantly judge someone I love--or anyone for that fact-- based on the color of their skin

Nah, I agree with Nyanna. Lisa Bonet + Lenny Kravitz = not a biracial couple. You guys have the same ethnic makeup, so no one is "crossing over." Your parents did.

Actually we don't. She's Hispanic, Asian and distant White. I'm Black, Native American, White and Dominican. We only have one thing in common and if you look at us. We have different skin tones as well.

Sorry I assumed you were both black/white mixes. Yup that is more different than similar. Especially is she is "hispanic" = "Mexican" vs from the Caribbean.

(I also consider Dominican or Puerto Rican or Haitian and African-American to be interracial couples as well)

Her hispanic heritage comes from Argentina and the Asian part is Japanese/Korean. I don't know the white part though.... I never thought to ask after this whole time of being with her lol.

Mostly everyone who is "white" is pretty "generic" white mix unless their parents are immigrants in the past 2 generations or so or Jewish. Otherwise no one knows.

I know what bugs me though when people ask me what country my black roots are from. I want to respond with something evil, but I usually say, we are still trying to trace things past the civil war.

In before the lock. Really, as long as I'm not breaking the law, it's nobodies business who I date and marry.

A secret? No way! I dated a caucasion guy and I introduced him to my friends and family and they loved him. No secrets allowed in my family.
