stay away from trade show girls....they are either overworked, always gone or both. if your intention is just to wham bam her, go ahead and give her a quick text and see where it goes, but dont expect much
Ummm. She's not a booth babe. She is someone who actually travelled to Vegas for the show, likely a rep or a marketing person.
So, despite being really attracted to this guy, do you blow him off and let him skitter off into the universe, likely never to be seen again? Or do you take the leap and hand the guy your phone number?
To me, the prudent thing is to hand the guy your number and mention coffee. What could coffee hurt?
I'm just saying that I wouldn't have mentioned that I was dating someone at all if it wasn't serious and I was willing to give someone else my number.

Maybe she was caught off guard. As in, "Well...umm...huh...well, I'm kind of seeing this guy but not really. I mean, um, I was thinking of breaking it off anyway..." Maybe it went down like that.

"Yes I am seeing someone but I'm probably going to dump him soon so here's my number!"
If all the OP wants is a fling, it doesn't matter anyway.
I predict this isn't going to end well when she finds out about the car. Not necessarily because you lied but because you aren't the rich guy you appeared to be who can whisk her away from her hated job and hated BMW.
Im driving home from my night class in my mom's Lexus. Im pulling into the station and a white woman filling up her white BMW 5 series smiles at me. I thought it was kinda odd, but I pulled up at the pump next to her.
She says hello, and I ask her how she is doing, and she says she just got back from Vegas for a trade show. She is really exhausted, doesn't like her job etc etc.
We continue talking about work etc. We talk about our cars (yes, I told her it was my Lexus, not my mom's) and she said she hates her BMW, always getting repaired.
I was really surprised/pleased with how things were going, so I asked for her number and if she wanted to get together sometime to get to know each other better. She said she is seeing someone, but she was going to break it off soon anyways.
I didn't have my phone on me, for the first time ever, I left it at home. So she wrote her number on a piece of paper.
Then we parted ways. One of the most relaxing convos Ive had with a woman, 1 because she approached me, and 2 cause she was older.
When should I text her?
I met a guy at a self serve car wash and left my card (pre text years) with the attendant to give to him next time he saw him. All I put on the back was, "Thanks, you made my day." We ended up dating for 10 years.
