Its not absolutely critical. I'm sure lots of marriages work out fine with little sex, no sex, or bad sex. However, its not over rated. Its great even after many years if the sex is result of genuine love, not just the physical act. If its just a physical act between to parties that don't particularly like each other, I could see those people could quickly come to the conclusion that sex is overrated.
I do not believe sex is overrated but underrated. Breast my friend are overrated; good stimuli yet overrated!
Appears many people are not subscribing to enough sex, I hear gripes of this often.
Depends on who it's with. I think that if you're with a person that is good in bed, sex can be great and probably mind-blowing, but if you aren't with a person that is good in bed or the chemistry isn't there then it's pretty overrated and probably not worth the trouble. I remember when I was a Sophmore in college and me and my friends were driving around talking about sex, several of them had never had an orgasm with a guy, during intercourse or through oral(but they had gotten close with oral) and we were talking about how good sex felt(based on that). And several of these girls admitted that masturbating and having an orgasm through masturbating was much better than actual intercourse. It was pretty funny actually. So the verdict was that it was largely overrated.
