^^This. If I had waited for my (now husband) to call me and make plans we would probably never have gone out and we'd certainly never have married. I called him, I asked him out, and when he dropped off the map a few months later I didn't waste time debating what it meant, I called him and asked what the deal was and whether he wanted to continue dating or not. We've been happily married now for 11 years and have two kids together so it seems to have worked out.

Honestly, I can't understand what is so hard about this. Just strap on a pair and step up when they are interested in someone. Geesh.

Thank you this is true why we can't cut the crap expectations and be more give and take about it.

Personally I want to take that stupid book and those rules and make a big bon fire.

It might be 50 or 500yr old advice but sun did rise from the east even back then. Some things never change with time.
Actually the sun doesn't move the earth just rotates in directions that we human beings labeled as east and west.

Considering how long it took human beings to figure this I have low expectations the when people realize the "rules" are not set in stone.

I guess biology and psychology play an important role only when it benefits certain people.
yeah, we humans are much more complex than animals, biology does not dictate our lives as much as it does to animals
