Cultural and/or generational miscommunication at work right here.

He doesn't mean "talking" as in simply speaking to someone; he means "talking" as in being on the verge of dating or casually dating someone. Look up the term on urbandictionary.com.

Every profile I see online the women's age preference is 6 to 8 years older than she is.

so if she is 24, she is looking for a guy who is 24-32

Well, for the last 100 years the average age difference between married couples has been 3-4 years. I'm not sure why dating age differences would differ. And just because her high end criteria is set to 32 doesn't mean she is going for men that old.

LOL!!! That is the most ridiculous thing I've read here in a while. Congratulations for absurd post of the week.

Not true for everyone. I typically date younger men, and that's been the case most of my life. My current BF has always preferred older women. And we are certainly far from alone.

Never make the fatal error of assuming any relevant "meaning" to anything uttered by TVSG. And don't assume either that posters on this forum don't understand the nuances of the English language and need direction to an urban dictionary ...

So that PROVES you are looking for young females that are not together because you can't relate to normal WOMEN your age.

Dating a 19 year old, one third of my age, would be fun if only for the reactions of other people. Any other kind of fun would kill me.

I used to say 10 years difference was ok, but at 57 I don't want a 67 year old. Maybe 63, and I mean a good 63, not grandmother 63.

That sounds good, but lately, I keep getting asked out by men that are 66..and I will be 52 tomorrow.
