Definitely yes trashy people. Teaching kindergarteners high? That's nuts.
In general the need to do drugs to have fun represents... well a lack of being actually fun, for one thing. At some point you're supposed to grow up. Even Daniel Tosh has a joke "Hey, you want to get high?" "No, because I'm not 13 and I have things to do"
Making money doesn't make you not trashy. You know what someone oughta be doing if they make money? You're in LA, right? Go to Nobu. Or is there a Mr. Chow's there? that's also awesome. Or get a brick oven built in your backyard. Even people who buy stupid stuff just because it's expensive like a nice car, even that's more respectable
Please, don't call me 'babe'.

I've met plenty of people, I've been all over traveling. Seems to me people are more similar than they are individual.

I don't do drugs, but I know plenty of non-trashy successful people who do. I may not find it fun, and it's a definite deal breaker for dating...but I'm not judgey about it. I'm a few hours north of LA.

an asian accountant smoking up? Come on, you know that's a rarity. Those Asians are crazy conservative in their lifestyle/values.

The teachers thing doesn't surprise me. Why the hell do you think we want to get rid of teacher's unions, and what kind of people do you think have the gall to force more taxpayers money for themselves at the expense of children? That teachers are scum is no news.

I'm calling you "babe" because you need some real perspective that you should already have.

It ever occur to you that people really only ever meet a tiny percentage of the populace in their life, and it's highly selected based on who they hang out with (which is how you meet new people) and that itself is based on personality?
You have blue collar, tattoo wearing freinds and coworkers, in a highly specific field, and all the people you meet flows from that. You're not getting the whole picture.
And in general you people from California are crazy, the rest of the country knows that, lol

None of these people are super frequent users. More like once or twice a month. But you really don't know who will be a semi-regular user. It might just surprise you. For me, at around 2 degrees of separation,
around 30-40% of those people do drugs at least once a month.

**the teachers do it on the weekend. Social drug users. Like social drinkers.

The vast majority of people I know grew up at least "middle class" with "middle class values."

Ive been meeting people who smoke pot... but so far I;ve been chalking it up to my age group. If people are still doing that stuff when I get older... I dunno, it's kinda messed up

What the hell is a matter with people? What the hell ever happened to class, to composure, to actual living? God damn, do something actualy fun, go work out or something (this is directed at druggies), garden or something. Go play with a dog. Jesus Christ there's a million other things to do more fun than using some chemical.
I just tried pot somewhat recently and for the life of me I don't see the attraction. In fact it kinda felt bad.

Actually, I have friends from all walks of life, mechanics, accountants, two CFOs, a few business owners, a lot of people in retail management etc etc. Oddly, I'm the only one in my group of friends who is heavily tattooed, a few of my friends have tiny little 'sticker' tattoos on the wrists or ankles, but nothing big.

I agree about the California thing...we're a weird state.

Peanuttree, hey I'm in California and not everyone uses pot here. Most of the people I know do not but that could just be the company I keep or maybe they're hiding it from me.
