How come men like bad girls? (dating, how to, married, women)

How come men like Mod edit: bad girls?
I realized being a good girl just doesn't pay off.
I always put the other person first, I'm nice, good looking, I don't smoke, rarely drink and if I am with someone, I will give them everything I can.
The problem is, they never seem to give back.

Take my last failing relationship.
I never even THOUGHT of another guy when I was with him - he cheated on me with every girl on sight.
I bought him presents for Valentine's day, his Birthday, and just occasionally when I felt like it- He never gave me A THING. (literally, I didn't get a single present from him in a YEAR, not even on my birthday.)
When he wanted to meet/talk, I was always there.- when I needed something (even if it's just somebody to talk to), he was always "busy".
I never argued, never got mad (but that's just my temper...nothing to do with him really. I guess I'm just even-tempered )
I gave him everything I possibly could...but he never gave back.
All my other relationships were similar.

Then take my friend:
She never calls them- they always call her.
She always says rude things- they love her for it.
She dates a 10 guys at the same time- they all know it and they don't mind.
She dumps them whenever she feels like it/ when she just gets bored- they keep trying to convince her to take them back.
She TELLS them to buy her stuff, to take her places- they do.

Basically, she is mopping the floor with them!.And what do they do? they come back for more!

Would somebody PLEASE make some sense in it for me?
Does that mean that if I'm simply NOT CAPABLE of treating someone badly, and I ENJOY putting the other person before myself, then I'm going to end up a lonely hag?

Decent guys are relatively difficult to find. Every time I think I've found a good one, he turns out to be just as bad as the other guys I've dated, or they just disappear.

My guess is they know they don't have to commit with your friend and they wouldn't have a clue how to properly treat a good women so they don't bother. You're not missing much.

This sounds way too familiar to me.

I think the only thing you can do is find someone who appreciates who you are as a person.

It could possibly be that you are giving off an overly nice vibe.

A lot of guys are that way when they go after women. (They overdo the nice factor).

It could be a smothering factor. Or you are just looking for guys who are gluttons for punishment.

Actually, I knew a couple of women with very high mileage. Nobody cared, because they had the looks. They weren't worn out hags. Guys married them, knowing they had a lot of mileage. One had been divorced. Mod cut: gender bashing. The average-looking girls with very low mileage get overlooked. Snip.
