Seriously, as a man do you trust a woman that you know with trying to hook you up with one of her friends that you've never met? This woman I know comes to me this morning and starts going on and on about her "super hot, attractive, the most attractive friend I have". She's like trying to hook me up. But I questioned in my mind if this woman is so hot and attractive why is she single.

Really attractive women and women in general should have no problem in getting men but yet this woman is single. It doesn't sound right to me.

i would never trust a female who says her friend has a great personality. If a female says her friend is attractive or hot, I would tend to trust her, unless in this situation, she seems to be going overboard with how hot her friend is.

Everyone is single before they are not.

I don't know your friend, but if she thinks you are a quality guy, maybe she is trying to "hook you up" with her friend because she thinks the two of you would be good together, and good for each other.

Maybe that woman doesn't have a problem getting "men" but does have a problem finding "good men"

You would know better than I how your female friend thinks of you. To me, it doesn't sound suspicious.

negative

i've been down this road a few times before. girls don't try and hook their hot friends up, just the homely ones.

Depends on whether she's a friend or not, duh. And if she is, why not? I'll go along with it, what do you have to lose.

For the most part they're not attractive, and when I say for the most part... I mean 95% of the time

Ah, but sometimes it is worth exploring for that other 5%

My cousin tried to hook me up with one of her friends years ago. I was so skeptical... one because I did not want to trust my cousin to be "helping" me. Two, same as the OP, I thought "why would such a great person be single."

We met on this "blind" date, and her friend was really smoking! Petite frame, blonde, fit, soft features. She was not overly large chested, but was still an excellent looking, attractive woman!

We didn't find any chemistry, but she was smoking.

I think there is more danger in the looks department to online dating, where people have become pros at posting misleading pictures!

Um eh it could go either way. The friend may not even know she is doing this. And outsiders see different things than you do. How to match people. He is outgoing and she isn't. He compliments her because he is radical and she makes sense to him. He gets her off her can and out to see the world.

I went on 4 set up dates from friends. Some it made me think what were my friends thinking. Some I enjoyed it highly. ; )
