Nah, not afraid at all. I pick'em up, or hold them still if I have to check something.
I've got two big, fat, fan tail goldfish (probably about a 1/2 pound between them), and a Comet (also a goldfish). The comet was supposed to be eaten at a jack n' jill I attended (I forget way...some game). I felt horrible for him. Little baby fish just sitting there in a dish of water. So, I emptied out a bread bag, dumped him in and brought him home. He's about 6 inches long now.
I also have an algie eater in there named George, and a Newt named Bean.
I could go on, but i figured that was more then you actually wanted to know. lol
oh god, I want nothing to do with live fish. I hate how their eyes are on the sides of their heads and how they move in the water. terrible.
what the hell are you feeding those fish? Gold fish aren't supposed to be like that, I don't think. All the ones I seen were mostly little ones. Well at least you took him home and didn't let him suffer there. Even the fish shouldn't be mistreated.
you and trimac seriously need to meet about this whole fish thing, LOL.

LOL
I don't feed them anything strange. Just their pellets, and some lettuce or a slice of orange to nibble on.
The two fan tails are about 4 years old now. Believe it or not, the crop of fan tails I had before them.......even bigger!!!!!
Goldfish will grow with the size of the tank. I'm sure there's a maximum though. Given reasonable living conditions, these three could easily make it to their 20's!!!!

I don't think Newts do to well here in an industrial rustbelt wasteland. lol
Actually, we do have salimanders and stuff right here in the city!
An attached older woman is interested in me and I in her and have been for the last several months. Haven't done anything yet but she is planning to become unattached and not bc of me. No one that I know is aware of this. I struggle with this. That is all.
what surprised me even more is how much i enjoyed it and why i keep remembering that night.
how exactly is this surprising? it reads like a penthouse letter
i have had somnambulintercourse myself, with gfs where we fell asleep horny after a super long day of work or something. so i get the whole "huh how did this happen" part
