Capitol is correct. These women come from all over the country to work in DC as its had the best economy in the recession and is a big place for politicos/huge corporate types. The area has the highest ratio of advanced degrees. These girls were all the smartest kids in their little midwest schools and they have egos the size of Chris Crafts. They think their advanced degrees make them way better than everyone else. It's just a cluster-frick of bad stuff for straight men. I've always heard there's a relative surplus of women but there's also a relative surplus of Jonas Brothers t-shirts, aint for no reason.

Single guys aren't really looked down upon until their late 30s (this goes up with an increasing job status).

Girls are the ones that suffer stigmatism if they're single and 30+.

Why should anyone be looked down on for being single, male or female?

I'm not sure people are looked down upon for being single. To the extent that they are, being single can be looked down upon b/c it implies that someone is not able to romantically attract others. In this light, single women would be looked down upon more than single men since it's so much easier for them to date and find relationships.

Im hoping Seoul can change my mind.

I live in Seattle, and can tell you that it is pretty good. But, a lot of the girls up here are complete head-cases when it comes to flirting/courting/sex. Perhaps its depression from the non-stop rain. Vancouver BC is always fun when I visit, it has more of an International city type vibe with its massive Asian population. Diverse and quite friendly. Seattle is less friendly, but more polite... I dunno it's kind of hard to explain.

I'm more of a west coast guy. But I can't recommend Cali to your average guy, you need $$$ and looks if you are going to take advantage of the beautiful women there. Otherwise you're fighting for scraps with the MEXIs!!
In Cali it depends on what kind of girls you're into. If you're into the blonde Barbie Doll looking ones, then you need to have $$$, big muscles, a nice car, and looks of a movie star (basically you need to look like Ken). When I lived there I mainly dated Mexican and Asian girls, since I had better luck with them.

So Seattle is pretty good? I imagine Seattle women to be like London women, for similar reasons (the climate).

Yea, I think the Seattle scene has an issue with narcissism in general. I suppose it's like any other city, a lot of people like to think their **** don't stink, but it's a bit more subtle here. I've never been to London, so I really can't comment on your comparison

The bottom line is, everybody wants sex - both men and women. If you are in the right place at the right time, you can score a dime-piece and have a great time. Just have a little game, don't pretend to be something you're not, take rejection for what it is (not a big deal) and most importantly, be patient - not desperate.

I guess I will chime in on this one. I am speaking from experience and in the "past tense" due to the fact that I don't pursue or care any more.

I will start with Portland. I think the word that lifelike is looking for is "introverted" when referring to the people of the NW. The women there will approach guys ( yes they actually do some of the heavy lifting). They also don't require formal "dates" involving lots of cash. If they like how you look and the vibe is there you hook up. However, you can also go long stretches at a time with nothing and then hit a hot streak. Also, you will run into confrontational b*tches necessitating that you stand your ground.
I left Portland due to the high cost of the housing market.

On to Houston.
Well, my house will be paid off in September.
And that ends the list of the nice things I have to say about Houston.

I have always been of the opinion that drugs and prostitution should be legalized and taxed. I think we could solve a lot of problems by stopping with the whole "morality police" charade. Having said that, this city is a 10,000 square mile whorehouse. Seriously. A large percentage of the women here are in the sex for money/companionship business. This includes billions of gentlemen's clubs, numerous escorts and massage parlors to cantinas where women pester you to buy them "lady drinks". So I guess I can't just come in here and watch the f**king soccer game, huh?

This infestation has now found its way into the regular sports bars. Specifically, a place off 290 called the brickhouse. There the "waitresses" wear outfits from cleavage ohio and are "encouraged" to rub there t*ts on the customers to get them to order more drinks and tip better while watching college football WITH NO VOLUME. How about this, Trina, Lisa, or whatever the f**k your name is, how about you get your t*ts outta my face and put some volume on the Oregon or Oregon State game that I am trying to watch. And if you can't find the remote maybe the guy setting up the stage for the live band can help. Or the dude setting up the karaoke machine. If he can't find the remote then I am sure the guy getting the stripper pole ready for "summer", "escalade" or whoever, can help you out.

And that's another thing about this hellhole. Bars can't just be one thing. Oh no. They gotta be all things to everybody.

This city grubs money and wallows in myopia like no other.

It now permeates the dating scene. The amount of approaching/lifting that the women here do is miniscule compared to Portland. And you better bring your "A" game while you are talking to them.
And have a metric sh*tload of cash, because these hos will upgrade on you in the blink of an eye.
Unless you are married, then they'll stick around. After all, part of a man is better than no man at all.
Myopic *******.

And the Latinas aren't any better. They see white guys as a means to an end and they will also upgrade at the drop of a hat. And they are not much for interracial dating (with white guys) either.
If anyone cares to dispute this we can go sit in a fiesta parking lot and count all zero of the latina/gringo pairings.

On your mark.

Get set.

Never.

If I could pick up my house and drop it on a plot of land in Portland I would do it without hesitation.

There is some truth to this from what I've seen. I'm just starting a career that will eventually require me to live in multiple locations overseas. I'd venture to say the majority of my coworkers who are married have foreign-born spouses. And of course when a bunch of guys start talking about Bangkok, it gets "interesting."

I never did well in Atlanta. I grew up just about an hour north of there but I just tend to clash with southern women for some reason. I think they're way overrated. It's also difficult to simply meet women due to the nature of the city. Everything is spread out. Everyone drives. The social scene is cliquey with few places that draw a consistently diverse crowd. I just hated living there for several reasons past a certain point and I wasn't really trying very hard after that.

I did do well in NYC for some reason and think a lot of that is due to the fact that it is the polar opposite of Atlanta in many ways. There is also no shortage of extremely attractive women there and they are more aggressive than women in other cities. They are in no way reluctant to express their interest and I get an ego boost every time I visit. And the variety...

I sorta sense that a bit in the short time I've been here. Luckily I prefer foreign-born women so I don't have to deal with that quite so much. And this is a pretty good place for meeting foreign-born women from recent immigrants working in fast food restaurants(I never had a crush on a McDonalds employee until I moved here) to embassy and multinational business staff, you have a pretty significant number across the spectrum and of just about every variety.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I don't really consider myself into Asian women but that doesn't mean I don't find many Asian women attractive. I had the same attitude concerning black women until I'd worked around several of them. A few of them were quite attractive.

Trust me, you'll adapt to the situation.

lol thanks for the laugh, I pretty much only see mutant women working the fast food restaurants. Your standards for attractiveness must be quite unconventional/low
