Man, I remember (actually I don't because I wasn't alive) the times when giving a lady a flower even if you just met her was considered romantic and sweet, and not an invitation to marriage or a signal of major stalkerishness.
Also OP, while you may have messed up on this one, here is a video to cheer you up a bit.

It wasn't entirely uninvited. We had already made plans to go out, and she knew I was coming over after I got off.
Then she should have called you to tell you not to come over. Yes its too early in the relationship, but she could have a least shown a little bit of appreciation for what you did. Only time will tell.

Maybe she ran out and took the soup after he had left. Would be a shame to waste it after all.
Sorry, just a side note (how accurate, my current status, lol!)
It's too early, in the "relationship," for soup and monkies but not so to "bump uglies??" (in case the planes are flying over someones head, i.e have sex)
My thought is that the flu may have progressed by the time you arrived, and she may have been too sick to see you. Maybe she'd just finished barfing, you know? Nice gesture, though. I think it's too soon to be posting your worry. Give it a day or two, see if she texts you.

I have to agree with you here. I'm scratching my head at the logic.
