The world is in for a shock once these beta males (the majority of males) wake up and realize they are being used by women to do the grunt work of society while the alpha males reap all the benefits of sex and relationships with women. Men are going to start disengaging from society. In my opinion, you are already starting to see the first signs of this phenomenon with the video game culture, grown men choosing a lifestyle of playing video games rather than pursuing an advanced degree, working hard, taking night classes, etc... If a man's efforts aren't going to pay off in attracting a mate, men won't see a plausible reward or incentive to work any harder than necessary to support themselves.

Though the article and pickup "culture" in general has merit, I think it is mostly only in an under 30 night club (ex. Jersey Shore) type context/environment.
Meanwhile, I know countless 'beta males' that are apparently happily married. I also know quite a few 'alpha males' who can get laid, but have obvious holes in their lives.

Because guys don't need a lot of money to support themselves. As the Futurist discusses in the Misandry Bubble post, society has prospered largely because men have worked much harder than necessary to support themselves. Think about all the men doing blue collar jobs, dangerous jobs, jobs that most women do not want to do. Of course women COULD do these jobs, i'm not arguing that women are incapable of doing anything they want. But most women don't WANT to go fix power lines during hurricanes, work construction out in the cold and snow and rain, fight on the front lines of the military, etc...
Men have historically worked harder than necessary to support themselves, but they were rewarded with a mate. Thus men felt the arrangement fair and satisfactory. As women are so picky these days and are gravitating more toward alpha males than at any time since the beginning of the institution of marriage, the 80% or so of beta males are being used and played. Once they realize they are being under-appreciated and undervalued, more and more will start disengaging from society.
Think about it... what do men really need money for? Men want to wear nice clothes... to attract women. Men want to drive a nice car... to attract women. (Some "car guys" do want a nice car for themselves, but a lot of men would be perfectly content driving a civic if it got them laid.) Men buy a house, because they know they need a house if they ever want to get married and have a family. A man, on his own, could live in a one-bedroom apartment and be relatively content. The only THINGS most men really want are perhaps a nice TV. Men are driven to work hard and produce, because they believe they will be rewarded with female attention. As females continue to be more picky, and men see sex and/or a happy relationship as unattainable, men won't see any more reward for working hard. Additionally, the financial fears of divorce are scaring men off from marriage, which is all the more reason for men to "Go their own way" as they say in the MRA blogs.
The Futurist predicts other things that will burst the Misandry bubble, such as sex robots, virtual reality sex experiences, the availability of foreign women, more guys learning "Game", etc. I am not sure i buy into all these other things, but i definitely agree with the Futurist that male disengagement from society will happen. Frankly, i believe it has has already started, as video games are becoming more popular, fewer men are graduating college, fewer men are earning advanced degrees, etc.

Yes, I can see these signs, and I can see how playing video games would be more interesting than a having conversation with the modern American woman. I guess the other significant advantage would be that these games also have a mute button.

None of that answers how guys are being used by gals to do the grunt work of society as again:
- guys chose those jobs
- guys get paid for those jobs and I highly doubt they're overpaid or making much more than necessary to support themselves
- society as whole benefits from those jobs not just gals
Seems more like if anything when this supposed 'misandry bubble' pops most guys will be doing the white collar work to be able to afford the sex dolls, foreign gals, prostitutes, and such. Then when these sex options become more commonplace and cost effective most guys will be doing the blue collar/grunt work of society considering such jobs tend to be low paying and just enough for a guy to support himself and his sex option of sex doll or prostitute. Either way it doesn't seem to be a detriment to society since guys will still be productive members of society.
In my observations guys don't work much harder than necessary to support themselves and in my opinion society has prospered due to a minority of gals and guys innovations, revelations, and achievements.
This seemingly premise that guys don't want/need/use money and it's solely/mainly for gal's sake is quite an exaggeration and logic leap. Guys need money for food, water, shelter, bills, clothing, transportation, and any other entertainment they desire such as hobbies, sporting events, concerts, video games, porn, prostitutes, travel trips to places where there are loads of hot young gals.

This isn't a detriment to society as in my opinion the guys will still have to work to afford these options likely guys will be doing white collar work then when the options become more commonplace and cost effective guys will be doing blue collar work.

I'm not seeing how this negatively impacts gals especially in America considering it seems most guys hold a deep seated misogynistic, bitterness, or resentful attitude towards gals. Perhaps gals will be glad at the likely drastic decline in male on female rape, male on female street harassment, male on female sexual harassment, male on female sexual assault, guys viewing gas as sexual objects, guys treating gals like sexual objects, and guys getting upset when gals don't behave like sexual objects.
