She stated in a previous thread that she doesn't feel she should have to initiate.

Some people like the social interaction.

Plus, it's kind of hard to download vinyl records

When I say record stores, I mean vinyl records. And I like tangible books.

Believe it or not, they still receive a lot of traffic.

There's her problem. Getting to know and perhaps start a relationship with someone is a two-way street.

Amazing

Best decision I've made in a very long time.

How is meeting someone in person "moving too fast"? You don't have to sleep with them, just have an actual face to face conversation.

Excellent!

You picked a good time - when we're having freakishly warm wintertime around these parts.

So your advice to meet your men is to send her into a niche market? Who is going to be there, DJs and extreme audiophiles? Also the bookstore is crumbling. Barnes and Noble is the last man standing, and a lot to do with that is their Nook.

If you want to recommend a niche store, for a 20/30 year old woman to meet guys, have her go into Hobbytown or a Comic Book store. Otherwise she's just wandering into a ghost town, and will buy crap to clutter her house.

I'm just tossing out ideas. And Barnes and Noble is hardly the last bookstore.

I don't know where she lives, so it's not like I can be really specific. In any case, there are music stores around that sell things other than vinyl (also, I had a guy try to ask me out at a record store once - I wasn't interested, but it's still something). People other than DJs and extreme audiophiles buy vinyl, you know?

We're dealing with someone who is complaining about having zero friends and has difficulty actually meeting men in person. She said she likes going to concerts and the mall - what else would you suggest?
