Is having too much student loan debt a deal breaker if that person will not be able to pay it off anytime soon? They got a worthless degree from an out of state school

Or, it could be a deal breaker it they got a masters or PhD in a useless field ($$$$$) and can't find a job to pay off the massive amount of debt they've acclumulated.

^This.
I live with a law school student who has a six figure student loan debt but has connections with internships to get a job after graduation from a top Washington DC school, so that would not be a major worry.
However, a person with $200k in loans for a BA in History from Who Da University is a different animal altogether.
To me the more important question is what is the persons and your ideas about how to pay off the debt and especially future debt. Debt is a huge problem in our society and it can casue a lot of problems in a relationship.
Find out what the other person says about buying things on credit. How about credit card debt. Large credit card debt would be more of a deal breaker than a student loan to me.
I would not marry someone without a background check including financials. Find out now before you are stuck with someone elses loans.
It would depend on what you meant by "too much" and "anytime soon." The dealbreaker would probably be that someone considers education to be worthless.
