That's been long gone. Pretty much, it's just a little butt sniffing, and away they go, making children without ever knowing who one another really is. =)
This is pretty much what all the posters have mostly talking about when it comes to dating. Some women want to still be traditional. Everything changes eventually. It's time people change in the dating world, too.

Short answer, dating. Back in the day, courting was a process men went through to date/marry women. He would get dressed up and go and meet the girls parents. He would bring her a gift and ask the parents for permission to date their daughter.

Sounds lame and too personal. I believe dating should be fun and not so serious. It's not 1547 anymore.
