He made a comment to me before he got married to her "I hope she doesn't get fat like my Mom." His Mom had gotten fat in her 40s. I didn't say a word, but I knew this girl would.

Like it is the worst possible thing in the world you could ever be. Worst than being a racist, or prejudice, or insincere.......
There are people out there who aren't fat and also aren't racists and aren't insincere.

Of course....I am more concerned about the reaction to these "fat" people. It seems like a fate worse than a painful death in some people eyes.

Try explaining that you rob houses for a living, that's worse than being fat.

Spot on. Amazing how people who would never say anything racist or homophobic think it's fine to discriminate against anyone they consider fat.

And it's interesting how if I woman just happens to have wider hips or a slightly rounded belly many men would deem her overweight and not fit to date.

Are you figuring this out just now?

lol. As long as fat isn't the problem, people will date anyone who's attractive enough no matter how many other issues they have.

But by God, if you're fat, you don't have a chance.

What about all the threads with the women who are repulsed by guys who lift a lot and have a bodybuilder type body?

Their comments are JUST as rude.

Can you blame them?

They were probably publicly humiliated, shamed and made fun of by perfect strangers while they were fat. Look at the what people on here are saying about fat women!

I've known a few women who have had dramatic weight losses and yes, they're PISSED that people treat them so much better based on something so superficial. Personally, I think they're more than entitled to their bad attitudes.

One of my ex boyfriends was previously overweight.

I knew it, still loved him, still got intimate and that was never the reason we broke up. Mad respect for losing so much weight. If anything, he was never going to put it back on because he remembers how crappy it made him feel and how much his life has improved.
