Back in 99 and 00, when I liked a voice ad of a female I would leave a message telling her why I'm intrigued and would leave my number. If I heard from her or not I didn't care my purpose was to find who I felt was a good fit and leave my number so we could get offline and meet.
So starting today any profile I see online I will leave a paragraph explaining why I like their ad and leave my number and then create a list of people that I could hear from in the next 48 hours, just like.....in 1999

What if it only results in your getting a response of, "Thanks!"?
'99 was the last time I dated and it was a lot less complicated in the sense there weren't so many technological distractions. Unrelated, but I really like the picture going around Facebook right now with all the phones in a stack on the table with the caption that says first one to check their phone pays. So in theory, I don't disagree with your idea. However, don't most of the online sites block you from putting your contact information in your profile because they want you to communicate through the site?

Do you still use phone booths and look for those 1-800-COLLECT ones ?

No I mean when I browse ads, whoever I decide to leave a message to I will leave my number just like I used to do in 99

I assume the OP meant that he was going to leave his number in a private message he writes to the women, not advertise it on his profile

Yup that's exactly what I meant. My goal for today is 10 and so far I left three messages.
The tricky thing is I have to leave 10 different names and the site of course so I will know who they are ..IF they call. Just like in 99 LOL
