What is an absolute deal breaker for you with dating or being in a relationship? For example, my deal breakers are: infidelity, violence, loss of respect, drug/alcohol addiction and, music commonalities. I know the last one might seem workable, but not in my case. I couldn't date or be in a relationship with someone who listens to country music. No way, not ever gonna happen lol. I'm very fortunate that my man likes the same type of music I do and loves to dance, just like I do.

So, what's your deal breaker in a relationship or while dating someone?

It was many similar ones for me like you mentioned-Drugs, History of violence (Not the movie, An actual history) hates animals and egotistical and high maintenance. Music, As long as rap does not blast 24/7 from the speakers it's no worry.

Deliberate cruelty. Lack of compassion. A "wallowing" nature.

High maintenance would probably be a deal breaker for me if I was a guy. I've seen these type of women and, it's really annoying to watch and hear them in action; let alone having to actually deal with one on a regular basis! But this is a trait that doesn't occur too often in men, thank goodness. Jrz, lack of compassion and being cruel deliberately are traits I'm going to add to my list!

I'd say shallowness. If she constantly gets mad about stupid little things, that's a deal breaker. Ummm, if she isn't willing to pick dates, drive places, pay for things to.

Not that it matters to me because I am happily married but I could never date anyone who was overly political (either too far right or too far left) and I could never date anyone who did not drive.

If the chick does not respect herself and isn't confident or has depression issues, I can't be in a relationship with her.
