Online dating creates lots of options. I was usually juggling several dates and guys when I was doing it and could usually tell that many of the men I met were too.

My husband, who I met online, was also juggling several women right before he met me. You put up an appealing profile and they come to you. He says even when we got together and he took down his profile, several of the women were emailing him seeing if things worked out and he were still interested. And he is what most would consider an average looking guy. Just lots of personality and charm.

Exactly. Also just being a social person and/or living in an area with a lot of people in your demographic can create options. It's all about the size of the pool.

Online dating is a waste of time for guys, more or less. It's strongly stacked in the women's favor.

For guys, the best option is to meet women the old fashioned way: friends, co-workers, during the day doing random things, activities, bars/clubs.

No, it's trial & error most of the time luck has a small part to play in it sure. But for the most part we trip over our own feet & look like fools while looking for that one.

My continuation of this: ... this thread can still remain open when the OP is a "goner."

It actually became a good thread, despite the way it started and the person who started it. It happens sometimes.
