Few months ago, a new guy started at my company. He is very attractive but I found him too young for me. The thing is that I noticed that he gets very shy with me, greeting me with his head down looking to the floor and even ignoring me for no reason... I never flirted with him , always being friendly and kind... The other day I initiated a casual conversation with him, he gave me this glance over(you know the Up and down look) and smiled at me, and seemed sort of nervous. Or if I try to start a friendly chat with him he looks into my eyes and smiles...I'm sure he knows that i'm older than him, but not sure if he is afraid of me, or just wants to hide his feelings??? He asked me casually if I had plans for the weekend , which I replied with: " no nothing important". Did he want to find out if i had a bf or was he asking me out indirectly??? I am afraid that the age difference will be refraining him from trying to show his true intentions!!! Your opinions are welcome...

My husband was attracted to me with a 9 1/2 year age gap without me looking younger than I am. People are attracted to whom they are attracted to and sometimes there is neither rhyme nor reason. Guys date much younger women and much older women for their own reasons, just like women do.

Depends on your ages. How old are you and he ?
If you're both mature adults, why not.

i agree with Rakin. if both parties are mature, then why stop it? age is just a number and a restriction most people do not see. i do not let age get in the way when i am dating because, who knows, that 10 year older women could be the best thing that could happen to me! how am i ever gonna know if i let "age" stop me? people need to focus more on the maturity aspect of the person rather how wide the age gap is.
as far as your secret crush Ladyturquoise, it seems like he is just shy and needs help opening up. i say, in a subtle manner, spark a few convos with him and see where it goes. i don't think he is turned off by the description you are providing.

At that age he maybe a little intimidated to talk to an older lady (I dislike that term). You may need to gently take the lead if you want to go out with him.
If you want it, go for it. Get em young and train em right.

I fell for a woman 10 years older than me before..fell hard for her too. She was separated from her husband but still married. In the end, they got back together and she moved away. Took me awhile to get over her.

This would make you a cougar.
NO. Especially at 25. A decent looking 25 y.o. guy has choices.
I am not attracted to older women. I like the rule: 2 up and 5 down, +/-

Probably both. Would I casually date women 10 years older? Yes. Would I long term date or marry a women 10 years older? probably not. A women 10 years older than me probably doesn't want to have any more kids.
