Well that's cause he and the Rat Pack lived in a time when a gentleman and his hat were inseparable. It wasn't even a fashion statement, it was a fashion staple, a must have. Now that not having a hat is the default look, any time you wear something on your head that isn't obviously for warmth purposes you are sending a fashion message. And unfortunately for the fedora (and thick framed glasses, among other things), hipsters have taken to wearing them incessantly.

For example, recently I've taken to more outdoor pursuits eg. mountain biking, hiking. Most on mainstream tracks, have seen and spoken to several women who fit the bill of my thread title. That wasn't why I've been doing it, but its always a bonus.

1) These women are into fitness, so take care of their bodies.

I guess it's too bad for us guys who can no longer run, bike, or go hiking due to health issues...I maintain my shape other ways that may be less exciting, so looks like I'm out of luck if this is where all the women in my age range are.

But why would I want to? Maybe when I'm in my 50s or 60s I'll consider it, but here I am in my prime basically with the ability to date women their daughter's age who are hotter, tighter, and sexier AND fertile. Why date their mothers or grandmothers? Yuk!

Same applies for me I can and do date girls 20-30. But as far as yuk, no don't agree. As I said in my OP those that look after themselves age well. Of course looks get you in the door, other qualities keep you in the door.

That's a fair point, some women on occasion do age pretty well. Just don't want people deluding themselves thinking that it's common.
