Sorry to burst your bubble right there, but when it comes to "reproduction" - western women are completely "under-performing", not by number of children, but by expenses of the whole procedure.
Check this out and make your own conclusions - whole IVF + surrogacy + donor + plain tickets + hotel reservation and visa/papers = 15,000$. Cost of all gynecologist visitations and childbirth exceed 15,000$ for the basic process, but insurance companies are forced to cover the costs, which they otherwise wouldn't (because abortion is legal, after all, and it's not a "disease"). Insurance companies then split the costs on every other citizen. Also note that many western countries have special laws regarding pregnancy, giving away paychecks for a number of months (up to two years in some countries). C-section costs over 25,000$ on average with same methodology.... and plus all the wages lost. If any problems arise (premature birth and twins) - expenses skyrocket over 200, 300 or even 500,000$, forcing young couples to file for bankruptcy... believe it or not. Many couples have their expenses covered either completely or partly by the insurance company, depending on the procedure, but it doesn't change this obvious fact that it is hilariously expensive.
On the other side of the world - multiple IVF cycles, TWO surrogates with multiple embryo transfers, plain tickets to India and hotel reservation = 34,000$. Even if you add visa/paperwork costs, even in case of both surrogates giving birth to premature twins... it'll cost less than 60,000$.
Costs of premature births in USA are close to 30 BILLION DOLLARS. Close to 1/3 of all pregnancies end with C-section. 1/80 end with twins. Don't even think of doing surrogacy in USA. Procedure is faster due to less paperwork (human factor) but the expenses can skyrocket to over 100,000$.
Also, raising a child in today's environment costs way more than that... about 200,000$ on average per child, up to age of 18. And then you need to add university costs.... plus the inflation, which will make it close to 300,000$ in two decades equivalent time. There you go, if you speak about children, anyone out there reading this can conclude that having multiple children in third world (and schooling them over there) will be better than having a single child in USA, when it comes to pure economy. And, believe it or not, they'll also generally get better education over there. All they need is the US passport.
I think men and women could both use an extra dose of affectionate and gentle TLC Some people (both men and women) can become noticeably more hard-hearted or colder, over time...but we also don't start out that way automatically, either. I personally think one possible solution might be for society to encourage a fundamental "softening of hearts", rather than a "hardening, of the heart". Sort of like if both men and women were softer, gentler, and kinder in general to each other, overall...

Reason: Corrected typo
Not a direct bash but your hurtful sarcasm and deamnor is all to relevant in this post along with LOTS of other examples. You could have been a more mature adult and just said "NOTHING" but nooooo, you just had to get that one last knife stab into this poor guy
Talk about reaching. You are the one who has been rude to Dew (embarrassingly so). Frankly, this thread is one idiotic train wreck- per usual to CD relationship forums p*ss poor standards.

I'm not fishing for what I want to hear, although it's good to hear a range of opinions. Not surprisingly though opinion seems to be divided along gender lines.
Your OP portrays women negatively; of course they are going to argue with you more than men. That's not surprising.
I'll try to answer your question if you really want, but your posts between this one and the one I'm answering make you sound like you are acting rather victimized.
Its called indoctrination. This is the mentality of the whole culture right now. Women are vastly superior, wiser etc. Just watch the commercials on TV. If there is a duffus in the commercial, you can bet its a white man.
Now THIS is true! I HATE it when a commercial is so predictable like what you just described!! Why do marketers do this? How does this help anyone/anything? Are we THAT uncomfortable as a society about racial/gender issues?
If you experienced truly mutual love, this post would have never happened.
