As I said, I don't cold approach and I don't appreciate anyone cold approaching. It's all moot really, I'm married. In my day however there was never a shortage of men but I hung out in a large circle of friends so there were always friends of friends around who knew me.

You don't have to be all that perceptive to realize that a woman who's smiling and making eye contact will probably be more receptive to a conversation than the woman who's got her headphones on and is staring at the ground.

Body language is not a mental game that women do. A large percentage of overall communication between people who are talking IS done through body language. Both men and women give and receive communication signals through body language, everyday, and every time they communicate.
If your not adept at picking up body language signals, you may want to learn some about them since they do play such a major role in properly understanding people through interacting with them. (Socially, romantically, professionally, etc).
