Just holding everybody at arms length. I went out on a couple of dates with a woman like this. Was busy all the time, but she was just busy drinking a lot with a drinking friends. What she'll find out is when she's over the party stage, all those so called friends will disappear. They are only there because the fun is there. Wait till life gets serious and you want to travel a different road. You'll be traveling that road alone, because those drinking friends just want to party!

He said, "Don't tell me you are too busy, I don't buy it" which to me, it means "There must be something wrong about you that you haven't told me?"

LOL

I am very tempted to tell him, "Maybe I am just crazy. Satisfied? " haha
Ahh. Well yeah he assumed that then.
Maybe he is a little too suspicious/paranoid.
It can be tiring dealing with people like that.

Needless to say, he is a total turn off to me.

Then you are reading it wrong. People want to present themselves honestly. In my case, I wanted to make sure that any lookers, knew that I was NOT looking for a relationship where we spend every night together, or even every OTHER night. I don't have that kind of time, and frankly, I doubt I ever will, at least not for many years. There are a lot of guys that feel exactly the same way, so why waste anyone's time that might be looking for more? I let them know what I want, up front. Worked great for me.

Exactly! For example, the first single father boyfriend told me the following, "Lily, you are a great girl. But I am a dad, I have to juggle between a full time job and a five year girl. I cannot promise that I am going to give you a great time simply because i am too busy..."

My reply, "I understand that. I still like you."
