How socially acceptable is it in the US for a guy of the age of 29 dating a girl who is 19? Does this make him a pedophile or something? If it's not rare then how much does it happen?
Kate Upton is like 19 years old. No one would call you creepy if you dated her. Just do it, and say **** off to anyone who tries to shame you. It's your life, do what makes you happy.
If she's hot then who cares? Technically it doesn't make you a pedophile. But if you're almost 30, how do you not know that? Do you not know the law? Must I tell you the legal drinking age is 21?

Funny you and I have the same last name
Anyways, while it is socially acceptable, often times you will see 19 yr old girls dating guys your age because they want stuff from you, not because they actually like you
An increasing number of young women these days are more concerned with a man's credit score, checking account balance, and financial assets than personality

I don't think it makes him a pedo but I don't think a female at 19 is emotionally mature enough to date a man at 29
^^This.^^
Whenever I see a guy who's in his late 20s/early 30s with a teenager, I don't think, "Ew, pedo!" I do, however, wonder if he has issues facing his own maturity. (Sorry, just being honest here!)
To my mind, there's not a lot of difference between someone who's 17 or 18 and someone who's 19. But there's a world of difference between someone who's 19 and one who is 29. Lacking many milestone experiences -- graduating from college, paying off a first car loan, becoming self-supporting, pursuing a career, basically taking on all of the responsibilities of life, part and parcel -- a 19-year-old is still very much a blank slate, lacking experience and wisdom. One's 20s are period of self-exploration, when one comes into his or her own through these very events.
I, personally, would not want to date someone who's still a blank slate unless I was one myself.
Nothing wrong with it, but... My favorite ex dated a 19-year-old for a while, long after we broke up. He was about your age. The first week: "Babe (because he will always call me babe, even if the romance is long dead), she's NINETEEN! It's awesome. She's so flexible and wants to do it ALL THE TIME. It's amazing!"
She also was extremely intelligent, in addition to being beautiful, and this held a lot of appeal for him. The second week was still "It's awesome! We had sex all over the house!"
The third week, I asked how his girlfriend was. He told me it was over, and I was shocked. When I asked why, his response: "Babe, she's NINETEEN."
While she was legally an adult, she was still a teenager. The drama, the lack of responsibility, the need for constant entertainment all wore him out, annoyed him and bored him in the end.
