Indeed, everyone needs someone different, there is no cookie cutter mold for every relationship. The problems arise when the two of you have very different sets of wants and needs. I think I'm lucky that I have a man who meshes well with me and I with him.
You definitely are. I need far more "me time" than my BF, but so far we are managing.
I am shocked how few people acknowledge the need and advantages of giving your spouse space and alone time.
BIG difference between "space and alone time" and never sleeping in the same room (you do realize that's at least a THIRD of your life spent apart?) and never sharing the same sections of the house because we need to "escape" from one another.
There is no need to "acknowledge" something that holds no value or truth to us personally - surely you don't expect us to say you are right when we don't agree that you are?

with the right person, I don't need hardly any space and alone time. With the wrong person I need more space and alone time.
You are more like my BF. He doesn't enjoy being alone anywhere near as much as I do. However, I don't consider him to be the "wrong" person for me. I think we simply have differences. And we work around them.
with the right person, I don't need much space and alone time. With the wrong person I need more space and alone time.
That's how I feel. But my husband and I have a lot of time apart just because of the nature of our jobs (well, his job now but both of our jobs when I was working). We like spending most of our free time together, in the same room. It feels better than being alone to me. But everyone is different. I'm lucky that my husband and I both feel the same way.

I am shocked that you seem to need everyone to agree with you. Surely you don't believe that all relationships are the same and that all people need and want the same things.
I couldn't imagine it any different than sleeping in separate bedrooms. No way I would put up with someone's snoring or moving around.
