It is certainly implied

Why would he say that "too many people" do something right?

I know too many people who practice good oral hygiene
I know too many people who pay their bills on time
I know too many people who are good parents to their children
I know too many people who leave an appropriate tip

Doesn't make sense, does it?

http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/implied
Quote:
the term implied is used in contrast with express, where the intention regarding the subject matter is explicitly and directly indicated. When something is implied, its meaning is derived from the words or actions of the individuals involved.

referring to circumstances, conduct, or statements of one or both parties which substitute for explicit language to prove authority to act, warranty, promise, trust, agreement, consent, or easement, among other things. Thus circumstances "imply" something rather than spell it out

I have their phone numbers. Although I think it might also be because they are busy with their own things too. At least some of them.

It is sad. It's true though. As soon as some people get bored with one relationship, they just up and leave moving onto the next. It's something like instant gratification. Why stay and work on one relationship when they can just go out and find a new one at the click of a mouse or the typing of a few keys? (Rhetorical question.)

My ex reached out to me on fb and we got closure and reconnected. that was a plus to fb. Knowing him, idk if we would've reconnected otherwise.

But personally, I don't think fb can ruin a relationship that is legitimate.

Relationships can be ruined for a million reasons. The misuse of social media can certainly contribute. But it's the PEOPLE that are responsible...not the thing.

Same here. I was resistant to FB at first but I have friends from around the world and I love the fact we can still keep in touch and message one another and share photos.
